Chart Formatting
Now that you've got the basic mechanics of chart creation and display, it's a great time to try
out some of those cool formatting possibilities. You can change your font, color scheme, and
background. You have wide artistic latitude here, but remember, your goal is to enhance your
chart and make it easier to read. Less is more.
To dig into all those possibilities, shift over to Layout mode and then double click your chart.
In the Chart Setup dialog box, click the Styles heading. In the Chart Text area shown in Fig-
ure 15-20 , you can ditch Helvetica for a more interesting font—but again, your goal is to be
readable, not fancy. The “B” button permits you to toggle bold text, and the dark rectangle
immediately to the right of that is the font color. Click it to reveal a palette of hues to choose
from.
