In-Depth Information
1. Switch to Layout mode and then go to the Customers layout .
Script triggers are always associated with a particular layout or object, so you need to
get to the proper layout first.
2. Choose Layouts Layout Setup and then switch to the Script Triggers tab .
You see the list of layout script triggers.
3. Scroll down the list and then select OnModeEnter .
The list is too long to show every trigger, so you have to scroll to find the one you
want. Once you select it, the bottom portion of the window shows the trigger's prop-
erties.
4. Click Select and then choose the Find Customers script you just created .
The Select button shows the same Select Script window you see when you're setting
up buttons.
5. Turn off the Browse and Preview checkboxes (and leave the Find checkbox
turned on) .
The OnModeEnter trigger normally fires when you first go to any mode (except Lay-
out mode, which is script-averse). In this case, you want the trigger to fire only when
you enter Find mode. When you're done, the window looks like Figure 12-12 .
