Figure 11-4. The Edit Script window is where you build and configure scripts by adding
steps in the order they should run. Not all script steps run across all FileMaker's technolo-
gies. For example, you can't use the
Insert from Device
step on Mac or Windows. Use
the compatibility pop-up menu to show you which steps are compatible with the technology
you're using. Incompatible script steps are grayed out. Or use an
If
test (page 431) with
the Platform Check script step (page 548) to run the step conditionally.
The
Set Field
step lets you put (or set) data in a field. You can use
Set Field
in
Browse or Find mode. In Browse mode, it enters data; in Find mode, it specifies find
requests. Since this
Set Field
step comes right after an
Enter Find Mode
step,
you're specifying a find request for the invoices.
