Select a picture or other graphic from your computer and then select the “Store
only a reference to the file” option

Instead of storing the file in the container field, which can make your file sizes bal-
loon, the path to the graphic is stored. The picture will still show in the container
field, however. See the box on
Managed Container Storage
for information that'll
help you.

Click Insert

FileMaker grabs the file path and shows the picture you chose in the Graphic field
(
Figure 6-10
).
