Technical Support
FileMaker supports the current version of its software and one version prior. In addition to
the resources listed above, you can speak with a human to get help with specific issues. The
phone number for free and fee-based tech support, as well as customer service to help you
decide which products you need, is 1-800-325-2747. Phone tech support is available from
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time weekdays (except holidays).
Technical Support deals with technical problems, like when a feature isn't working as advert-
ised and you need help figuring out why. Technical support doesn't cover teaching you how
to create databases, or writing your calculations and scripts for you.
NOTE
If your question isn't tech support, or your files are in an older version for which FileMaker, Inc., no
longer offers support, then you need to get help from a third party, usually a consultant, trainer, or
user group. See

Free Support
You can't start making databases until FileMaker has been bought and installed, so every-
body who purchases FileMaker gets unlimited tech support phone calls regarding purchas-
ing, installation, and configuration. You can submit nontechnical questions to FileMaker via
an email link on the Contact Support web page or by phone at 1-800-325-2747.
Paid Support
If your question falls into the technical realm, get out your credit card when you call and then
decide how you want to pay:

Priority Support
. For a $45 flat fee, tech support will solve a single issue for you.
▪
Annual Support Contract
. For $899 per year, you can nominate one person from your
company who can call a special toll-free number as many times as needed for 12 months.
Add $699 for each additional person who needs the same access. If you have a volume
license agreement (VLA), the rate goes down to $719 for the primary member and $599
