Using the Technology Tests Page
As part of its installation, FileMaker Server installs a sample database and, if you've turned
on PHP web technology, a sample website that you can use to test your system. To test your
system, choose Server→Open Test Page in the Admin Console.

overview of the options you've selected. You can click Back if you want to change some of your
choices.
A web page opens with links to the appropriate tests. If you see a message that a pop-up was
blocked, disable pop-up blocking for this website in your web browser. The Test FileMaker
Pro link will launch FileMaker Pro (if it's available on your server) and open the sample
database. The page will also have links for WebDirect and PHP Custom Web Publishing if
you've enabled them on your server. It's a good idea to test each link, because these tests will
help you troubleshoot if you have problems later. For example, if all the technologies work
on your server, but one of the client machines is having issues, that means the trouble is with
the client computer or the network between the server and the client.
