In-Depth Information
It can be more economical for couples and families travelling together to arrange joint in-
surance. Older travellers or anyone with health problems is advised to start researching insur-
ance well in advance of their trip.
If you need to make a claim, you should keep receipts for medicines and treatment, and, if
possible, contact the insurance company before making any major payment (for example, on
additional convalescence expenses). In the event you have anything stolen, you must obtain
an official report from the police.

Internet
There are scores of internet centres in the main resorts on Bali and Lombok. Access can be
patchy in smaller and more remote towns. Free wi-fi is common in restaurants, bars and most
accommodation options; the more upscale hotels usually charge inflated fees. The cheapest
way to get mobile internet on your phone in Bali and Lombok is by buying a prepaid local
SIM card for a 3G phone .
Language lessons
Indonesian language lessons are available in Seminyak and Ubud .
Laundry
Most hotels and losmen have laundry services. In tourist centres there are plenty of laundries
outside the hotels as well.
Left luggage
Most losmen and hotels will store luggage. Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport has a left-luggage fa-
cility and the shuttle-bus operator Perama will store luggage for its customers.
