Aik Mel on the cross-island highway (17km).

To Tetebatu Bemos and buses from Mataram will get you to Pomotong on the main road,
from where it's about 10km to Tetebatu: either take a bemo to Kotaraja then an ojek, or an
ojek all the way.

Trekking information The Rinjani Trek Centre at the trailhead at the southernmost limit of
Senaru has information about the treks and maps of the mountain, but not much else.
Getting around In Tetebatu you can arrange motorbike rental (Rp60,000) or taxis
(Rp100,000/day), cars with driver (Rp400,000/day) or bicycle rental at Green Orry .
ACCOMMODATION AND EATING
BATU KOQ AND SENARU
Accommodation, with one notable exception, is spread for several kilometres along the road
through Batu Koq and Senaru. Places on the east of the road generally have the best views
towards the mountain. Most can arrange local hikes and trekking guides and will store your
stuff while you climb.

owned, eco-friendly guesthouse at the quiet southern end of Senaru is the most relaxed gues-
thouse in the village, with mountain views from the garden and four lovely wooden rooms
with hot water and verandas. There's also a good restaurant and a traditional family house,
