ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: BANGSAL TO BAYAN
BY BOAT
Bangsal is Lombok's main port for the Gili Islands (see
Arrival and departure
). All public
transport between Mataram and points around the north coast passes through Pemenang;
from there it's a 1.5km cidomo ride (Rp10,000) or a shadeless walk to Bangsal's port.
BY SHUTTLE BUS
If you're coming from Senggigi to Bangsal, there's no bemo service so you'll either have to
use Perama's 7.30am shuttle bus or take a taxi.
BY BEMO
Bemos from Mataram or Pemenang terminate at the market in the small town of Anyar, on
the main road beyond the Segenter turn-off. Bemos from there to Bayan and
Senaru
are most
frequent in the morning, so you may have to charter one (about Rp150,000), or rent an ojek
(Rp25,000). Coming from Labuhan Lombok and the east, you'll change bemos at the turn-off
in Bayan.

(20min).
