SEKUMPUL WATERFALL
Highlights
1 Gunung Batur The hard sell can infuriate, but Bali's most celebrated (and most active)
volcano is worth the hassle for the spectacular panorama from its crater rim. To see it close
up, trek up to the summit or mountain-bike down through rice paddies.
2 Danau Bratan area This highland region harbours a trio of sacred crater lakes, a temple
that is as beautiful as it is venerated and Bali's best botanical garden.
3 Munduk The island's loveliest hill resort, a former Dutch colonial village with fine
accommo-dation, enjoyable treks and hours to be lost simply enjoying the mesmerizing
views.
4 Lovina Although the beaches are not Bali's finest, the north coast's only mid-sized resort
remains a laidback place, boasting a fine selection of hotels and restaurants, which make it a
good base for exploring the nearby waterfalls and temples.
5 Sekumpul Waterfall Even on an island blessed by waterfalls, these seven cascades which
tumble into a verdant valley are postcard-perfect.
