Coconut Restaurant Santai Hotel 0363 23487, santaibali.com . The food at this tradi-
tionally styled, seafront hotel restaurant gets top marks for its nouvelle presentation. Barbe-
cued fish (Rp90,000) and beef rendang (Rp69,000) are specialities and the desserts, includ-
ing key lime pie, are delicious. Daily 7am-11pm.
Gusto 0813 3898 1394, andaamedresort.com . A nicely designed Hungarian-run res-
taurant above the road, with great service, a good variety of freshly made Indonesian and
central European dishes, including ginger-glazed mahi-mahi (Rp72,000), Wiener schnitzel
(Rp94,000) and even goulash (Rp68,000). Well worth the trip from other Amed resorts.
Gusto also has an excellent bakery, the only one in Amed. Daily 3-10pm.
Pazzo Bali 0363 23476, pazzobali.com . A busy, attractively decorated restaurant with
an extensive drinks list and a long menu of good Indonesian and Western dishes; grilled fish
is Rp46,000. Daily 7am-10pm.
LIPAH, LEAN, SELANG AND BANYUNING
Aquaterrace Selang 0813 3791 1096, bbamed.exblog.jp . There's authentic Japanese
food at this tiny B&B, including prawn tempura (Rp41,000), nori sushi (Rp38,000) and
okonomiyaki (savoury pancakes). The dining area has good views over the bay. Daily
7.30am-9.30pm.
Baliku Banyuning 0828 372 2601, balikudiveresort.com . Combine lunch at this hotel
restaurant with free use of the pool and premier snorkelling across the road. The menu
is wide-ranging and includes peppercrust tuna (Rp72,000), mahi-mahi with lime sauce
(Rp83,000), falafel and aubergine lasagna. Daily 7am-9pm.
Café Indah Lipah 0363 23437. Use the pedestrian bridge at EuroDive to reach this neat
warung right on the beach. Indah does the usual Indonesian and European dishes, with grilled
prawns selling for Rp66,000. Daily 10am-10pm.
Sails Lean 0363 22006. A real looker of a restaurant, perfectly positioned on the headland
and designed in minimalist style to make the most of the 180 degree sea views. The food
(from Rp55,000) has a Pacific-Asian accent - chilled tomato soup (Rp40,000), Thai-style
fishcakes (Rp75,000), lamb rissoles and mahi-mahi fillet (Rp75,000). Free transport in the
Amed area. Daily 10.30am-11pm.
Wawa Wewe 1 Lipah 0363 23506, bali-wawawewe.com . A lively restaurant and bar
with sea views, serving Indonesian classics and cocktails. It stages live music every Wednes-
day and Saturday - and guests are welcome to join in. Daily 7.30am-10pm.

Amed Café Minimarket Jemeluk. Amlapura is the nearest main shopping centre, but the
Amed Café Minimarket in is well stocked with basic necessities and also sells swimming
goggles and fresh fruit. Daily 7am-9pm.
