Bangli
Situated between Gianyar and the volcanoes of Batur, the district capital of BANGLI is a
cool and spacious market town whose extravagantly carved temples are well worth making
the effort to visit. The town was one of Bali's nine kingdoms until 1907, and the pleasant
town centre is worth a short stop to shop and eat at the market, mainly selling agricultural
produce and crafts from the surrounding villages, or for trying regional snacks at the small
night market.
