The Drum Factory Jl Monkey Forest 0361 978637; map . The largest hand-drum manu-
facturer in Indonesia offers more than two hundred percussion instruments of all shapes and
sizes. Some will even fit in your luggage. Daily 9am-8pm.
Pondok Bamboo Far southern end of Jl Monkey Forest, Padang Tegal; map . Sells a full
range of Balinese instruments made from bamboo, including genggong and the bamboo
gamelan. The musician owner teaches music and is also a dalang shadow-puppet master; he
performs here every Monday (Ramayana) and Thursday (Mahabharata) at 8pm (Rp75,000).
