EATING
Ubud is packed full of places to eat and there are more vegetarian and organic options than
anywhere else on the island. Many restaurants outside central Ubud offer free pick-ups if you
call up in advance.
SAVE THE WATER BOTTLE, SAVE THE WORLD…
Discarded plastic bottles don't decompose and are expensive and wasteful to manufacture.
The Bali Cantik Tanpa Plastik ( Plastic Free Bali ) Campaign is working to get rid of all
plastic, including bags. In the meantime, to help minimize the rubbish problem, you can
refill your plastic water bottle with the filtered water supplied at certain clued-up outlets in
Ubud for less than what it would cost to buy a replacement. These include:
Jl Dewi Sita Tutmak restaurant; Pondok Pekak Library and Learning Centre; and Sjaki's
Warung .
Jl Hanoman Kafe restaurant.
Jl Jembawan Bali Buda café.
Rice-paddy walk Sari Organik café.
