Banks and exchange ATMs are everywhere, but be careful at exchange counters: there are
several well-known scams . A recommended moneychanger is PT Central Kuta, which has
28 bureaux in the Kuta-Legian-Seminyak region, including several on Jl Legian. If you do
get caught in a moneychanging scam, contact the community police .
Dentist Bali Dental Clinic 911, 2nd Floor, Mal Bali Galleria, Simpang Siur roundabout, Jl

SOS has a dentist.

Hospitals and clinics Two reputable, private 24hr hospitals on the outskirts of Kuta have
English-speaking staff, A&E facilities, ambulance and medical evacuation services: Bali
International Medical Centre (BIMC) at Jl Bypass Ngurah Rai 100X, near the Simpang
Siur roundabout on the road to Sanur ( 0361 761263, bimcbali.com ) ; and International
SOS, a few hundred metres east at Jl Bypass Ngurah Rai 505X ( 0361 710505, sos-
bali.com ) . For quicker (and cheaper) consultations, Legian Clinic on Jl Benesari, Kuta (
0361 758503) offers 24hr services and consultations from Rp550,000.
Immigration office Jl Ngurah Rai, Tuban ( 0361 751038).
Left luggage Hotels and losmen will store your luggage if you reserve a room for your re-
turn; some charge a nominal fee. There's also left luggage at the airport and, for Perama
customers, at the Perama office, Jl Legian 39, Kuta (daily 6am-10pm; Rp10,000/week or
part thereof; 0361 751875).
Pharmacies Inside the shopping centres and department stores; on every major shopping
street; next to Legian Clinics on Jl Benesari and Poppies 1.
Police Community police, Satgas Pantai Desa Adat Kuta, are English-speaking and in 24hr
attendance at their office on the beach in front of Inna Kuta Beach Hotel ( 0361 762871).
Tourist police are further north on Jl Pantai Kuta. The government police station is at Jl Raya
Kuta 141, south Kuta ( 0361 751598).
