Task 8: Documentation
On each router, capture the command output from the following commands to a text (.txt) file and
save for future reference.
show running-config
show ip route
show ip interface brief
If you need to review the procedures for capturing command output, refer to “Lab 1-1: Cabling a
Network and Basic Router Configuration (1.5.1).”
Task 9: Clean Up
Erase the configurations and reload the routers. Disconnect and store the cabling. For PC hosts that
are normally connected to other networks (such as the school LAN or to the Internet), reconnect the
appropriate cabling and restore the TCP/IP settings.

Scenario
In this lab activity, you will design and apply an IP addressing scheme for the topology shown in the
topology diagram in Figure 1-25. You will be given one Class C address that you must subnet to pro-
vide a logical addressing scheme for the network. You must first cable the network as shown before
the configuration can begin. When the network is cabled, configure each device with the appropriate
basic configuration commands. The routers will then be ready for interface address configuration
according to your IP addressing scheme. When the configuration is complete, use the appropriate IOS
commands to verify that the network is working properly.
