If the answer to either of these questions is yes , troubleshoot the routing configuration
again.

Verify that the HQ router is sending a default route to the BRANCH router.

Is there a default route in the BRANCH routing table? no
If not, what commands are needed to configure this on the HQ router?

default-information originate
If you have recorded any commands, apply them to the HQ router configuration now.
Step 9.
View the BRANCH routing table.
Step 10.
If any changes were made to the configuration in the previous step, view the BRANCH
routing table again.
Is there a default route in the BRANCH routing table? yes
If the answer is no , troubleshoot the RIP configuration again.
Attempt to ping between the hosts again.
Step 11.
From the host PC2, is it possible to ping PC1? yes
From the host PC2, is it possible to ping the Serial 0/1 interface of the ISP router? no
From the host PC1, is it possible to ping PC3? yes
