Task 1: Remove RIP Routing
Using the commands you specified in the section “Default Routing Exercise,” earlier in
this chapter, disable RIP routing on R3.
Step 1.
Using the commands you specified in the section “Default Routing Exercise,” complete
the following configurations of R2:
Step 2.
Disable RIP for the appropriate network.
Disable RIP updates on the appropriate interface.
Your completion percentage should be 25%. If not, review the previous steps to see what
part of the task you left incomplete.
Task 2: Configure Default and Static Routing
Configure R3 with the necessary static route. Use the exit interface argument.
Step 1.
Configure R2 with a default route. Use the exit interface argument.
Step 2.
Configure R2 to propagate the default route to other routers (R1, in this topology).
Step 3.
Your completion percentage should be 100%. If not, review the previous steps to see what
part of the task you left incomplete.
Task 3: Verify Connectivity
All PCs and routers should have end-to-end connectivity. Pinging from any source to any destination
should be successful. You can also click Check Results and then click the Connectivity Tests tab to
see whether all the connectivity tests are successful.
Task 4: Save the Packet Tracer File
Save your Packet Tracer file as LSG02-0502-end.pka.
