When you are finished with the RIP configuration, return to privileged EXEC mode and
save the current configuration to NVRAM.
Test and verify connectivity.
Step 4.
Use the ping command to verify that the router interfaces can communicate with each
other. If you discover that two interfaces cannot ping each other, troubleshoot your IP
addressing and router configuration.
Task 5: Document the Router Configurations
On each router, capture the following command output to a text file and save for future reference:
Running configuration.
Routing table. The output of the show ip route command for each of the routers should be the
same as the provided outputs.
Interface summarization.
Task 6: Clean Up
Erase the configurations and reload the routers. Disconnect and store the cabling. For PC hosts that
are normally connected to other networks (such as the school LAN or the Internet), reconnect the
appropriate cabling and restore the TCP/IP settings.

This lab does not have a starter file for you to open in Packet Tracer. However, create your own net-
work from scratch using the topology in Figure 4-4 and the addressing in Table 4-3. Use the com-
mands in Task 4 to configure routing. Then you should be able to verify that your routing tables in the
Packet Tracer network you created look similar to the routing tables shown in Task 1. When finished,
save your Packet Tracer file as LSG02-Lab441-end.pka.

Introduction
This activity focuses on subnetting skills, basic device configurations, and static routing. After you
have configured all devices, test for end-to-end connectivity and examine your configuration. Open
the file LSG02-PTSkills4.pka on the CD-ROM that accompanies this topic. Use the topology in
Figure 4-5 and the addressing table in Table 4-4 to document your design.
Upon completion of this skills integration challenge, you will be able to
Design and document an addressing scheme based on requirements
Apply a basic configuration to the devices
Configure static and default routing
Verify full connectivity between all devices in the topology
