The following illustration uses both the Ink Brush and the Dry Brush tools. The Ink
Brush tool was first used to establish the richest darks. Next, the Dry Brush tool
was used to suggest the direction of light and shadow. Crosshatching and heavy
pen pressure were used to create the darker gray areas. This helped in showing the
transition from black to gray.
