Freeform Animation
There are two types of animation in Biped: footsteps and freeform animation.
Footsteps are used for creating common locomotion animations, such as walking,
running, or even jumping. Freeform animation is for almost everything else, such
as crouching, fighting, or swimming.
In the next example you will use freeform animation to have your pirate girl
crouch and look side to side as if she is looking for danger.
1. Load the Biped rigged model of the pirate girl from Chapter 7.
2. Press the H key on the keyboard to bring up the Select Objects dialog box.
3. Select Bip01 L Foot, as shown in Figure 8.18. This will select the character's
left foot in the Biped skeletal system.

4. Click Select.
5. Now go to the Motion tab and open the Key Info rollout, as shown in
Figure 8.19.
