11. Weld the two sections of the collar together and delete the polygons
between them.
12. You will also need to delete the polygons of the collar along the mirror
seam.
13. Our character has an earring. That will be the next thing you model. Select
the polygon of the earlobe and extrude it, but instead of pulling it out from
the ear, scale it in, as shown in Figure 6.88.
14. Now extrude the earring out several times, as shown in Figure 6.89. Later,
you will rotate the extrusions to make a loop, so make several extrusions.
15. Rotate the earring back on itself to form a loop (see Figure 6.90). The
earring adds several polygons to the model, but what is a pirate without
an earring?
16. The hair is flat at this point, yet the character has a scarf on her head with a
knot in the back. Cut along the back of the hair to where the scarf and hair
meet, as shown in Figure 6.91.
