7. Now go back in and adjust the placement of the vertices so they form a
nicely shaped hand. Look at Figure 6.84 for a reference of how this should
look.

8. Now you can move on to the collar. Cut the polygons to form the base of
the collar, as shown in Figure 6.85.
9. Select the polygons of the collar and extrude them up twice, as shown in
Figure 6.86.
10. If the character's hair were to remain in one place and not animate, the
collar would only need to run into the hair, but because you are making the
hair so it can animate, you will need to complete the collar around the back
of the neck. Cut and extrude the collar around the back of the neck, as
shown in Figure 6.87.
