6. Now apply a UVW Map to the same faces to which you just applied
center_line.bmp, and in the Parameters menu, select Face (see Figure 5.14).

7. Now, with the faces selected, put a minus sign in front of the 1.0 in the
U Tile box in the Parameters menu. This will reverse the UVWs in the U
direction (see Figure 5.15).
8. Repeat for the other side of the runway and, since it is correctly aligned,
don't adjust the U Tile this time (see Figure 5.16).
9. Now continue on with the edges using the edge.bmp until you have a run-
way that looks like Figure 5.17. I decided to hide the terrain for this section.
10. Every runway needs some end markers to let the pilots know where the
beginning and end of the runway are located. Using the techniques you
already know, apply end_marker.bmp to the runway (see Figure 5.18).
Your scene should now look something like Figure 5.19.
11. Save the file as terrain_02.max.
