Does it make a difference? It depends on the circumstances, and that's why it's critical to
know your audience and understand what will help you achieve your object versus what will
be a waste of your time. Focus on the things that really matter.
Steps 7 and 8: Delivery and Results
What remains is the most critical part: actually communicating your data to your audience.
Before doing so, I highly recommend showing what you've made to multiple people. You've
just spent hours poring over the data, and you're likely head over heels in love with the result
of your beautiful creation.
But the simple fact is that your baby may be ugly—or worse, confusing—and it's better to
know now than after the bright lights are on. Ask an expert. Ask a nonexpert. Don't tell them
what to do with your dashboard, just let them play with it, and see where they trip up. It's
nothing to take personally; it's for your learning.
