Legends aren't the only thing we can use to highlight Marks on a Dashboard. Just as we can
use Sheets as Filters, we can also use them to highlight Marks on other Sheets.
Using Sheets to Highlight
To make the Dashboard feel more responsive and “alive,” we can create a new Dashboard
Action to highlight marks on hover (just by placing the mouse cursor over a Mark). Let's
make it so that if we just hover over a country Mark on the map or the bar chart, the corres-
ponding timeline is highlighted. To do so, we'll select
Dashboard
→
Actions
→
Add Action
→
Highlight
and fill out the resulting dialog box, as shown in
Figure 13-30
.
