Connecting to Data
Tableau Desktop Professional allows users to connect to an unlimited amount of data stored
in the following types of data sources:
▪ Files such as Excel, Access, comma-delimited files, and Tableau Data Extracts
▪ Traditional relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle
▪ Hadoop technologies such as Hortonworks Hadoop Hive and Cloudera Hadoop
