There isn't really too much significance to the “average” latitude and longitude of a storm. In
fact, the average position could be in a place that the storm never visited. What we'd really
like to see is the route of each storm as it made its way across the face of the planet.
To create such a map, we can do the following:
1. Change the Marks type from Automatic to Line . Notice that a new landing pad called
Path appears to the right of Tooltip in the Marks card.
2. Drag ISO_time to this Path landing pad/shelf. Notice that a new blue pill called
YEAR(ISO_time) appears in the Marks card with a path icon to the left of it.
3. Click in the down arrow of the blue YEAR(ISO_time) pill in the Marks area and
choose More Hour , as shown in Figure 11-12 .
