Which gives a clearer picture of the state of Internet usage in 2010, the all green version in
Figure 10-12 , or the hot/cold version in Figure 10-14 ? Now is it easier to tell which countries
are at about 50% Internet usage—the halfway point? We can tell pretty easily that Italy, Por-
tugal, Morocco, and Uruguay are at around 50 Internet users out of 100.
But what about North Korea? As Figure 10-15 shows, this version of the map is not without
its problems. It seems at a glance that North Korea is at about 50 Internet users per 100,
which we know to be false. In fact, North Korea is missing from the data set, and Tableau
does not include a shape for missing countries at all, which makes them seem close to the
halfway usage point of the color scheme we've chosen.
