What we don't know from this chart, however, is how the different teams in the league each
year differed in their strikeout rates. What's the difference between the team with the highest
strikeout rate and the team with the lowest rate each year? We just don't know from this
view. We can give a sense of the variation inherent in the data in a number of different ways,
as shown in
Figure 7-4
.
