There is only one DH (“designated hitter”) that completed the 2012 season with enough at
bats to qualify, so we'll filter out this data point by right-clicking and selecting Exclude . Now
we're down to eight positions—and notice the blue pill that appears in the filter shelf as a
result of excluding the DH.
Next, we'll convert the dots to eight vertical lines stretching from the minimum value to the
maximum value of each position by changing the Marks type from Circle to Line and then
dragging Player onto the Path shelf, as shown in Figure 6-6 .
