Finally, the future of CNT-based gas sensors looks very bright
in combination to the various transducers used, but continued
progress need to overcome the current challenges, move toward the
development of reliable commercial devices, and lead to a class of
sensor nanomaterials with superior sensitivity, reduced sizes, low
cost, stable response, selectivity, and extended lifetimes for a wide
range of environments and applications.
