Mu Ko Surin National Park
With postcard-worthy beaches and excellent snorkelling the Mu Ko Surin National Park is
only open to visitors from the 16th of November to the 15th of May each year. There are
five main islands, Ko Surin Nua, Ko Surin Tai, Ko Ree (Ko Stok), Ko Pachumba, and Ko
Kai (Ko Torinla). The main activity is snorkeling with some scuba diving thrown in. There
is a community of Moken sea gypsies who still live their traditional lives as seafaring people
who generally welcome tourists as long as they are respectful of their space and villages.
Accommodation is the form of bungalows and tents at two campsites on on Ko Surin Nua.
