In-Depth Information
When to go
The south is warm all year round and often borders on downright hot. All year the temper-
ature hovers in the high 80s during the day though it can feel much hotter in the sun so plan
your activities accordingly. Generally it is best to avoid visiting in April as this is the hottest
month in the south unless you plan to be permanently submerged in the ocean or in your air
conditioned room.
If you are heading to the beaches in the south make sure to consider which side of the coast
you will be on, west or east, for the time of year for your visit to avoid monsoons. On the
west coast the monsoons typically hit in April to October while the southeast coast is affec-
ted more from October to January.
