Graphics Reference
In-Depth Information
Watch the Comp Window as it renders and you'll see the 3:2 Pulldown in
action, with Whole frames followed by two interlaced Split frames, then back to
Whole frames.
Because the GB Lower Third graphic was Pre-Rendered the final output
progresses quickly. Remember: Pre-Render Good.
Scenario 4: Logo Risen
Flash (SWF)
Our last example is to create a Flash 'SWF' file. The SWF Exporter is a great
option for creating client review files for the web. The Flash SWF Exporter in
After Effects is a separate function from the main Render Queue.
1
Open Logo Risen.aep and select _ MASTER - Logo Rise Comp.
2
In the main menu at the top, select
File
Export
Macromedia
Flash (SWF) . . . .
3
A Save File As dialog opens - select a name and destination for your
Flash file, then press 'Save'.
The SWF Settings dialog opens. In this dialog you can tweak your file settings
for optimum file size and performance.
A critical feature to use is the Unsupported Features option. Flash prefers
using vector-based graphics for best performance, but supports bitmap images.
When this option is set to Rasterize, all layers with Mix Modes and Effects
applied are first Rasterized into finished frames then converted into sequential
image files that Flash can display.
