In-Depth Information
Using the Photoshop Comp as a
Precomp - The more powerful method is
to make a Precomp out of the existing
Photoshop Comp, then apply the Collapse
Transforms function to the Precomp.
14
Revert the project back to
Photoshop Comp 1.aep .
15
Create a New Comp (Ctrl
N) with
these settings: 640
360, Square
Pixels, 24 fps at 10 seconds.
16
In the Project Window, drag the WONK Comp on top of Comp 1 .
17
In the Timeline Window for Comp 1 , change the Precomp's
Scale (S) to 75%.
18
Activate the Collapse Transforms switch (seen left).
Using a Photoshop file as a Precomp with Collapse
Transforms active provides the most flexibility to the
design artist. It allows for the total freedom of
maintaining all your Photoshop Blending Modes while
permitting the quick assembly of complete projects
right from the instant the *.PSD file is imported.
Illustrator File Import as Composition
Importing Illustrator vector files as
Comps is similar to the process of
importing Photoshop Comps,
barring these few differences:
imported Layers do not have
Blending Modes or Effects, vector
outlines are not editable as splines
(you can't use the Pan Tool to alter
the vertices), and the dpi does
matter. But once imported, their use
is nearly identical to Photoshop
layered Comps.
