In-Depth Information
The WONK TV logo was initially
created in Photoshop, so we'll again
use this file for Photoshop Import
demonstration.
1
Create a New Project
(Ctrl
Alt
N).
2
Import (Ctrl
I) the
WONK
Logo Build.psd
document as
Composition - Cropped
Layers
.
Notice in the Project Window that
when the file is imported, two objects
are added to the window: the file as
a Comp and a folder containing all
the file's layer elements.
3
Open
WONK Logo Build
Comp 1
to review its contents.
4
Select the layer
Green Lines
.
This layer is a good example of the advantage of the Cropped Layers option.
Notice how the transform box tightly surrounds the two green bars. If you were
to import the file using just 'Composition', the transform box would match the
whole Comp's dimensions.
5
Duplicate (Ctrl
D) the
Green Lines
layer.
6
In the upper
Green Lines
copy, draw a Box Mask (Q) around the upper
green bar, then make a Mask for the lower bar in the original
Green
Lines
layer.
7
Using the Pan Behind Tool (Y), center each Anchor Point over its
associated green bar.
If you can't access the Anchor Point, try selecting a different layer, then use the
Pan Behind Tool.
8
Save your work as
Photoshop Comp 1.aep
.
