In-Depth Information
Use the values above to set your Shadow effect and set the Shadow Color to
dark blue. Also activate the stopwatches for Keyframes on Opacity, Projection
Distance, and Softness.
Copy and Paste for Effects
To apply the same Radial Shadow effect settings to the CH . . . Shadow layer,
you could follow the procedures above - but all you have to do is copy and
paste the whole Radial Shadow effect from WONK . . . Shadow' s properties
layer and everything will transfer, including the Keyframes. This is the only
exception to the rule: 'All copied Keyframes will paste where the CTI is
located.'
Notice that, once pasted, the keyframed effects are located far from the CTI.
This is because the system is trying to maintain all effect events relative to the
Timeline's first frame. All you need to do now is press 'U' and drag all the
Keyframes, aligning the last Keyframes to the rest of the layer's last Keyframes.
If you were to select only the Keyframes from the WONK . . . Shadow layer's
Radial Shadow effect, only those effects' values would have transferred, leaving
you to readjust all the other non-keyframed properties. Alternatively, if you
copy the Radial Shadow effect from the Effect Controls window, only the initial
values would transfer, not the Keyframes.
