In the Comp Window drag the green and red Axis anchor (seen below)
by its center circle up into the center of the WONK TV logo.
4
Repeat these steps for CH Elements build .
When you select a Collapse Transforms Precomp, the whole layer receives a
Transform Box the size of the Master Comp's dimensions. This does not affect
the layer's functionality, but it can be annoying when you have to select many
Precomps all with their Transform Boxes spanning the entire screen. It would be
nice to be able to make a Mask to eliminate the Precomp's excess screen
space, but remember, applying a Mask will cause the Precomp layer to behave
the same as applying an effect - it forces the Collapse Transforms to revert to
Simple Nesting.
3D Layers do not require the use of Cameras or Lights, the system defaults to a
compatible viewing mode allowing 3D Layers to move in perspective. We'll be
adding Cameras and Lights later in our production - but for these exercises the
default perspective view works fine.
Layer Timeline Extension
In the section 'Audio - A Sound Primer', the music track (courtesy of Killer
Tracks) had Markers applied to identify the primary music beats. These beats
will determine the direction of our animation.
Open the project WONK Logo Build - 3D.aep to view these Markers. As
previously discussed, running an Audio Preview can extend well beyond its
Timeline's End Point. Therefore, some of the Markers extend past the Timeline's
last frame and we want our project to have the same duration as our music track:
1
Extend the Timeline's duration (Ctrl
K) to 15 seconds.
2
Open the Audio Track's Waveform Display (L L).
