In-Depth Information
long. A simple shortcut exists for applying a common change across multiple
Keyframes at one time.
Go to 3:00, then select all of layer 9's Scale Keyframes (click on the Scale option
title or drag the cursor across the row of Scale Keyframes), then in the Comp
Window scale the Glimmer image larger until it is larger than the Purple Glow
(about the size of the whole Comp frame). Notice that in the Timeline a new
Keyframe has been created rather than all the selected Keyframes being
altered. This is After Effects Auto Keyframing in action and it's usually
helpful - except when you're trying to apply a change over multiple Keyframes.
Press 'Ctrl
Z' to Undo this Keyframe. Again, select all the Scale Keyframes,
but this time 'Shift
drag' the CTI to Snap directly over any of the selected
Keyframes (Snap works with any dragged item). Now rescale the
' GlimmerLoop.mov ' layer in the Comp Window. This time, all the Scale
Keyframes change relative to the change you made.
Set layer 9 to Overlay (Blending Mode) and choose the Alpha Matte (Track
Matte). Turn off its Solo, then turn on layer 8's Video switch (A/V Features),
which was turned off when you applied the Track Matte.
Keyframe Creation and Modification
The Logo Rise is a little dull, so let's mess it up a bit by adding
some spin. Things will move a bit quicker now.
1
Select layer 7, Logo Rise Text - press 'R'.
2
Go to 1:00 - click on the Rotate stopwatch.
3
Go to 2:00 - change the first Rotate value to '4'.
4
Go to 6:00 - click on the Add Keyframe switch.
5
Go to 8:00 - change the Rotate value to '8'.
All the settings that were made to the first copy of the Logo Rise
layer must be copied to the other duplicate layers.
6
Select all the Rotation Keyframes in layer 8 and press 'Ctrl
C'.
7
Select the two other copies of Logo Rise Text and the Shadow.
