using the Plot Dialog Box
The job of getting your AutoCAD file to plot (electronically or as a hard copy)
can be broken down into five tasks. You'll need to tell AutoCAD the following:
The printing device you'll use
The lineweight assigned to each object in your drawing
The portion of the drawing you're printing
The sheet size to which you're printing
The scale, orientation, and placement of the print on the sheet
You handle most of these tasks in the Plot dialog box:
1. Open A-100.dwg (see Figure 15.1). Click the A-101 layout to make it
active, and ensure that you are in paper space.

2. Click the Output tab, and then click the Plot button on the Plot panel
to open the Plot dialog box.
