Open the DesignCenter, click the Folders tab, and navigate to the
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2011\Sample\Dynamic Blocks\
Annotation - Imperial.dwg
drawing, and then select Blocks.
If your drawing is in metric, navigate to
Annotation - Metric.dwg
.

Click and drag the Drawing Title - Imperial (Drawing Title - Metric)
block (see Figure 14.53) into your layout, and close the DesignCenter.

Double-click the block, and in the Enhanced Attribute Editor dialog
box, change the Viewport Scale and View Number values to

The Drawing Name will be the same as the Sheet Name in Sheet
Set Manager. Users of AutoCAD LT should enter
Floor Plan
into the
Enhanced Attribute Editor dialog box. AutoCAD users should com-
plete the following:
a.
Select the VIEWNAME tag in the Enhanced Attribute Editor.
Right-click in the Value field and select Insert Field.
b.
Change the Field Category to SheetSet, and then select the
CurrentSheetTitle Field Name from the Field dialog box. Click OK.
After entering the Drawing Name into the Enhanced Attribute Editor,
click OK to exit the dialog box and return to the drawing.
The new block adds a scale to the view title, something that should always be
included in a drawing. After inserting this block, the static FLOOR PLAN text
saved in the
14A-FPLAY1.dwg
is no longer needed. You'll use the Edit Reference
In-Place tool to erase this text from the floor plan xref.

Click the Quick View Layouts button in the status bar to switch to
model space.

Zoom into the FLOOR PLAN text, and then select the
14A-FPLAY1.dwg
xref.
The contextual External Reference Ribbon tab opens to display a
number of common commands related to xrefs.
