With the Endpoint osnap running, select each of the eleven endpoints
shown in Figure 10.8.
The construction line is copied to each of these corners, and
extends down to where you'll draw the south elevation.

with grips has a
Copy option, which
keeps the original
object “as is” while
you modify the copy.
You can copy with
grips in several ways
that aren't possible
with the regular
COPY
command.
WARNING
You may need to restart the Copy tool if each of the
eleven destination endpoints is not viewable when the command is started.

Press Esc twice to end the command and deselect the line. Your
drawing resembles Figure 10.9.
In the next section, you'll trim the lines as necessary to continue
the elevation drawing.
