FiGuRE 8.46 Using the A-Label text style as a template for the
A-TTLB-LABL text style
If you press after
changing the height,
the apply button
turns gray and unse-
lectable. pressing
at this point has
the same effect as
clicking the apply
button.
3. Be sure Caps Lock is on, and start the Single Line Text or TEXT
command.
4. Click the None osnap button in the Shift+right-click menu, or enter
NON , and then pick a point in the upper-left corner of the upper box
of the title block.
It doesn't have to be the perfect location now; you can fix it after
you see the text. The None osnap prevents you from picking a feature
that exists in your drawing.
5. Press at the rotation prompt. Enter PROJECT: ↵↵ .
The word “PROJECT:” appears in the upper box (see the left of
Figure 8.47).
6. If necessary, move this text to the upper-left corner, as far as possible,
while still allowing it to be readable. It will help if Polar Tracking and
Object Snap are temporarily turned off.
the closer you zoom
in, the more precisely
you'll be able to fine-
tune the location of
the text. You'll need
to zoom out to check
how it looks.
TIP If you have running osnaps and need to have them off for one pick,
you can click the Snap to None osnap button. Doing so cancels all running
osnaps for the next pick. If you need running osnaps turned off for several
picks, click the Object Snap button on the status bar. Click it again when you
want the running osnaps to become active.
7. Use the COPY command to copy this text to the bottom two boxes on
the left, using the endpoint of the horizontal lines above each of the
boxes as the base and displacement points.
