FiGuRE 8.31 The cabin with the completed grid lines drawn and the offset
roof line deleted
This completes the grid lines. To finish the grid, you need to add a circle with
a letter or a number in it to the left or upper end of the lines. You'll use letters
across the top and numbers running down the side:
1. From the Home tab Draw panel, expand the Circle fly-out menu
and click 2-Point.
The 2-Point option draws a circle defined by selecting two opposite
points of the circle's diameter.
2. At the Specify first end point of circle's diameter: prompt,
pick the upper end of the leftmost vertical grid line.
3. Turn Ortho Mode on, and then move the cursor directly above the
last point and enter 2 ( 610 ) at the Specify second end point of
circle's diameter: prompt.
This places a circle 2 (610 mm) in diameter at the top of the grid
line (see the left image of Figure 8.32). Take note how you can enable
drawing modes with a command active.
4. Turn Ortho Mode off, and click the KITCHEN text. A grip appears.
5. Click the grip; type C , for copy ; and press .
