How does the location services feature know my location?
Location services uses several bits of data to determine your location. First, it looks for
known Wi-Fi networks that are near your location. Second, if you are connected to the In-
ternet, it uses the location information embedded in your unique Internet Protocol (IP) ad-
dress.
