TIP
What type of hard drive do I need to use in Mac Pro?
Your Mac Pro requires a solid-state drive (SSD) that uses flash memory for storage. This
differs from a regular hard drive in that it has no moving parts and is faster than a tradition-
al hard drive. The interface connection the flash drive uses is based on Peripheral Com-
ponent Interconnect Express , which is often abbreviated either as PCI Express or as PCIe .
Mac Pro flash drives are stored on a special card, so be sure to purchase a drive advert-
ised as being compatible with Mac Pro.
