Burn a Disk Image to a CD or DVD
If your Mac Pro has an optical drive capable of writing — also known as burning — data, you
can use Disk Utility to burn the contents of a disk image to a CD or DVD. This is useful if you
want to back up the disk image to a disc. Also, in some rare instances a program's installa-
tion files will come packaged as a disk image, and you need to burn that image to a disc in
order to run the installation program.
Burn a Disk Image to a CD or DVD
Insert a blank CD or DVD in your Mac Pro optical drive.
Mac Pro asks what you want to do with the blank disc.
