What do the resolution numbers mean?
The resolution numbers are expressed in pixels , short for picture elements, which are the
individual dots that make up what you see on your Mac Pro's screen, arranged in rows and
columns. So a resolution of 1440 × 900 means that the display is using 1,440-pixel rows
and 900-pixel columns.
Why do some resolutions also include the word stretched?
Most older displays use an aspect ratio (width to the height) of 4:3. However, most new
