Set Your Mac Pro's Sleep Options
You can make Mac Pro more energy efficient by configuring parts of the computer to go into
sleep mode automatically when you are not using them. Sleep mode means that your display
or your Mac Pro is in a temporary low-power mode, which saves energy. You can set up Mac
Pro to put the display to sleep automatically after a period of inactivity. Similarly, you can con-
figure Mac Pro to put the entire computer to sleep after you have not used it for a specified
amount of time. You can also configure Mac Pro to sleep automatically at a certain time.
